I am Katie Smith and I graduated from London Metropolitan University in 2004 after studying a jewellery and silversmithing BA.

Purple Crunch was established in 2005 as my foundation to create unique and imaginative jewellery by manipulating classic styles with textured metal, wire techniques and vibrant semi-precious stones.

Colour tones and delicate forms used in my jewellery demonstrate my enthusiam for nature and its elegance. Surface pattern designs have had a great influence in my work particularly floral and the natural environment.

I strive on customer service and push myself to create pieces of jewellery that will not over power the wearer but rather add to her beauty and allow her to feel beautiful while wearing it. I work closely with my customers and listen to their ideas and try to create something that will really satify their needs. Most of my clients have become good friends and I feel that this is due to the nature of the way that I work.
